Armorline Announces Successful Transparent Armor IED Blast TestLake Forest, CA _ April 3, 2006 _ ArmorLine Corporation, a manufacturer and distributor of ballistic and blast resistant glass, announced today the successful completion of IED blast testing on three versions of their No-Spall Transparent Armor products. The test, conducted independently by New Mexico Tech/EMRTC, consisted of a TNT charge wrapped in steel shrapnel detonated at close proximity.Forrest Carroll, Vice President, of ArmorLine Corporation, said, "We are very pleased with the 100% success of our Transparent Armor against this device. Three different thicknesses of ballistic glass withstood multiple shrapnel impacts in addition to extreme blast effects at very close range. Combined with previously successful ballistic tests against multiple impacts from armor-piercing munitions, these products are proving ideal for applications in high-risk combat environments. Moreover, we can transfer this capability to our Decorative Interior Security Glazing products for architectural applications".
