ArmorLine Corporation is constructing the world's largest manufacturing facility dedicated exclusively to the development, scale-up, and high-volume production of transparent Spinel ceramic materials.
Transparent Spinel ceramic is a revolutionary material that provides a unique combination of impact and penetration resistance, high-hardness, abrasion resistance, density, and broadband optical properties that make it an ideal transparent material for defense, aerospace, and commercial applications requiring higher performance at lower system weights. The ArmorLine manufacturing facility is scheduled to come on-line in the first quarter of 2012 and will supply transparent Spinel ceramic plates to window, lens, and optical system suppliers, manufacturers, and end-users.
